Sundays are normally my long run days or it's dedi

Sundays are normally my long run days or it's dedicated to a decent hike, but today's run was 2km and even then, possibly too far 😬

My relationship with running is that I want to ran far and I want to run fast. So, to be shuffling for 2km is forcing me to change my mindset. I've got weak ankles and an achilles that has been niggling at me since May. The last thing I want to do is take myself out completely. And so my focus has been to build consistency and increase the number of runs I do while focusing on how I feel (mentally/physically). And I think this mindset is a mindset I need to take into other aspects of my life. I need to slow down and enjoy the process.

Today's run resulted in my achilles hurting more than it has in a while and my rolled ankle being a little sore. So, I know to keep my runs short and focus on my rehab to build up strength and prevent future injuries.

What I'm saying is: sometimes it's best to take a step back and take things slow. Look after yourself, both body and mind 💛

Hey, long time no see 👋 I've been spending less

Hey, long time no see 👋 I've been spending less time on social media lately and it feels good. I've also been sick and had no motivation to post, but for the past two weeks I've been living the dream.

I went on my first ever solo overnight hike the other day and it rained (a lot) on the first day, but nonetheless I had an absolute blast (despite it being cold and my sleeping bag getting wet). I've also been riding my bike a lot lately and I thoroughly enjoy commuting on it 🚴‍♀️ Now, I'm slowly going to get back into running again as I've missed it 🏃‍♀️

Anyway, I plan on posting a little bit more and sharing my running/sustainability journey (well life in general) on here and over on my blog - I have published two blog posts since I was last on here.

But for now, here are some recent photos (saving the best to last) ✨
