Routines, I love creating them, and not sticking to them. But I’m hoping to change all of that, although I’m sure you’re all sick of me saying that. I mentioned it in my taking control of my life post and even in my morning routine post. And now, here we are with my new nighttime routine. It’s only fitting, isn’t it?
Anyway, I’m not going to waste time rambling on. Let’s just get straight into my nighttime routine:
MON: 4:10 PM: Get ready to workout
Okay so, I finish uni at 4 PM on Mondays, 3 PM on Wednesdays and 5 PM on Thursdays. I have work on Wednesday so my routine will vary, and Thursdays I have the opportunity to workout earlier. Oh and for the weekends I’ll skip this.
MON: 4:30 PM: Workout
I’ve been slack with my workouts, so, hopefully putting time aside helps me get back into it.
MON: 5:35 PM: Shower
I would’ve walked home and I don’t want to go to bed sweaty. Just a quick shower with my skincare routine to finish off the day.
And back to every other day, but not Wednesday or Fridays because yet again things differ.
FRI: 5:30 PM: Drive to pool
More swimming, my favourite!
FRI: 6:00 PM: Swim
With the swim club.
FRI: 7:00 PM: Shower
To rinse the chlorine off.
FRI: 7:15 PM: Drive home
And to get home.
FRI: 7:45 PM: Dinner
Not going to lie, Wednesday will be similar to this, so, I’m not going to bore you with the specifics of it too.
Okay, for real now onto every other day.
5:30 PM: Uni/blog work
Always on the grind. I want to get ahead, be productive and stay consistent with blogging. Think snack writing.
6:00 PM: Walk
Just a little walk to end the day with some movement and fresh air.
6:30 PM: Tea time
Food time. I love dinner.
7:00 PM: Freetime
I’ll let myself do whatever.
8:30 PM: Get ready for bed
Skincare, clean my teeth, prep for tomorrow, clean my room. Things like that.
9:00 PM: Read
I’ve enjoyed getting back into reading. It’s happening slowly. I have so many books I want to read, so, setting some time aside is important to me.
9:30 PM: Sleep
Just like waking up, going to sleep is fundamental to my whole routine. I’m not one for super late nights, but at least attempting to go to sleep at 9:30 PM hopefully means I’ll actually for asleep before 10:30.
And you’ve now made it through another routine post. Obviously, this time it’s PM rather than AM.
Do you have your own nighttime routine? Does it help you sleep better? Or are you wanting to create your own routine or not care haha? I find it interesting comparing our lives and routines because each is unique to us.
