And so, the month of April has come to an end. I’m left waiting to see what May has in store for me and let me tell you, I’m excited! Why? Well, I’ve decided to focus Elysian Haze on Mindfulness in May.
Throughout May, I’ll be publishing content with the underlying theme of mindfulness. It’s time to reconnect with ourselves, take care of ourselves and be mindful.
I’ve also created a mailing list where I’ll be providing some extra goodness to your mailbox (if you decide to subscribe). I aim to send weekly emails where I’ll recap the posts I’ve published and give you some extra content that you won’t find on the blog. The fact that I’m focusing on mindfulness during May means you’ll get content all about being mindful. If you’d like to sign up, you can HERE.
Anyway, I’m sure you’re wondering why I’ve even written this post because I have yet to discuss what Mindfulness in May is. So, let’s go!
First, what is mindfulness?
Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through a gentle, nurturing lens.
Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment. When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.Greater Good Magazine

Every post I publish will have the underlying theme of mindfulness. They’ll vary in genre – from personal growth to fitness to sustainability. You’ll get it all! I also plan on publishing content more often throughout May. Hopefully, it’ll consistently be two times a week.
