This post, I would say, is long overdue. I spent a week in Kangaroo Island with my family a while ago now, back in the school and uni holidays. Now, I’ve been super busy, slightly stressed and very exhausted with uni work as multiple assignments are due at the same time – it’s that time of year.
So, that’s my excuse for getting this up so late and for not being overly active anywhere. But then again, it’s my own fault for not being great with time management.
Anyway, let’s just get into my fun little holiday!
Kangaroo Island
19 April 2020, Monday
It’s a shame I didn’t do this earlier because I don’t remember much. We caught an early fairy over there, had breakfast in Penneshaw, went to a winery, climbed the Cape Willoughby Lighthouse, and I cannot remember much else.

Day two! I went for a morning walk on the beach with my family, and then we set off. We stopped for some honey ice cream before heading to Kingscote. We climbed Prospect Hill and headed back into Penneshaw for tea.

We explored drove along a road that represented some of our heritage before heading to Seal Bay. Then it was Flinders Chase. Being the tourists we are, we stopped at the Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. We also spent some time marvelling at the Cape Du Couedic Lighthouse (it’s my dad’s favourite lighthouse). We also stopped at Snellings Beach and Stokes Bay.

Yet again, we started our day with a walk on the beach before taking a short drive to look at Baudin Beach, Brown Beach and Sapphiretown, ending up at Strawbridge Point. Then, we headed off to visit the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Oil Distillery before exploring some back roads and making our way out to Vivonne Bay.
23 April 2021, Friday
Our final day was filled with packing, one final walk along the beach before heading back to Kingscote. We looked around for a while and took a look at their swimming pool. Before I knew it, we ended up back in Penneshaw to catch the ferry home.
And there you have it, my late Kangaroo Island photo diaries. If you’re interested, I created a little vlog to go along with this post. I am hoping to create more videos for YouTube soon.
